Lesson Info
Let's Play Piano!
I believe piano lessons should not only be instructional, but FUN!
During lessons, I use lots of games to reinforce what students are learning, including note reading, rhythm, theory, and technique.
We learn a variety of music such as classical, pop, and Disney songs, and I'm always open to requests from students to learn songs that they love.
My teaching style is full of patience and encouragement, and I aim to instill a love of piano in all of my students.
I teach adult piano lessons too! Whether you took lessons as a child and want to get back into it, or you've never taken music lessons before, I am here to help!

Tuition and Policies
Lessons are typically once a week, and 30 min, 45 min and 60 min lessons are available.
Tuition is a flat monthly rate, September - May.
Summer lessons have a more flexible schedule. Please contact me for current tuition rates and policies.
Requirements
Students will need a piano or keyboard for at-home practice. Acoustic pianos should be tuned regularly (about once or twice a year), and I recommend that keyboards/digital pianos be full size (88 keys) with a sustain/damper pedal and weighted keys. Weighted keys allow the player to control the volume of each note - press softly for a quiet sound, press hard for a loud sound. While students can learn the basics with pianos that don't meet these specifications, having a good quality instrument will allow students to play more expressively and learn proper technique (plus they're just more fun to play!)
Learning to play piano takes practice! In addition to weekly lessons, students will need to set aside time each day to play piano at home. Without regular practice, progress will be slow. Even just 5 minutes a day will help improve your skills!
